DETERMINE YOUR ELIGIBLITY

All countries have their own eligibility criteria that one must fulfil in order to study in a particular country.

English requirements: If you are not a native English language speaker, only certain tests you can take that will be accepted by the New Zealand government. There are varying minimum requirements for each education level, sometimes these requirements higher for certain courses.

Academic Requirements, Institutions could have different entry requirements, so read all the course related information carefully.

4

Once you have decided the course of your choice, we will help you complete the application process. For application regarding admission, you need to provide us the several documents including previous academic qualifications and valid English language test. By submitting the application through us you will be able to track the progress of your application as we will send you automatic notifications.

5

SUBMIT TUITION FEE

After lodgement of your visa application or once you have received “Approval in Principle” of your visa from the New Zealand Government, you need to pay your 1st year tuition fees. You can pay this fee through either Telegraphic Transfer (TT) or Direct Debit (DD). Our value-added services department at Focus Overseas can help you arrange either of these payment methods. At this point, those students using the FTS will also need to transfer their living expenses contribution into their ANZ bank account.

6

APPLY FOR VISA

To proceed with your visa application, you will need to provide the documents outlined in the checklist we provided by us. Regarding to your financials, Focus Overseas strongly recommends that you take advantage of the Funds Transfer Scheme (FTS) offered by the ANZ bank. Benefits of using the FTS include:

• The scheme allows students’ parents to have control over the amount of money that their child has access to in New Zealand.

• It ensures that the student will have access to sufficient money to meet cost of living in New Zealand.

• The scheme is a lot easier than the alternatives available, where a range of documentation is required or a bank loan must be availed; Applications submitted under this scheme will not subject to in-depth fund assessments thereby reduced processing time. Just like your admission application, Focus Overseas will keep you updated to the progress of your application and take the hard work out of tracking your application by keeping in contact with the visa office on your behalf.

7

UNDERTAKE MEDICALS

After receiving your offer letter from an institution, you will need to undertake a medical examination by one of the doctors approved by the New Zealand Government.
